Hi, I am an avid reader of the site and have a quick question regarding two desks within the FX group. If you were to have to pick between trading roles in G10 (spot) and EM FX (spot + NDF), which would you pick and why? I come from an economics background, and long term opportunities (though not Coalition thinks banks' G10 rates trading revenues fell by another 15% year-on-year in the first half of 2014, so that's hardly a recipe for higher bonuses. By comparison, credit trading bonuses are likely to increase this year - credit and structured product teams have been having a good year. What is Rates Trading? Threse roles will be heavily focused on the yield curve, inflation in different geographies, and monetary policy. What is an Interest Rate Swap?
